Nov 22, 2019 Click the Shift Code button at that bottom of that window, then paste in the 25-digit Shift code. New Borderlands 2 Shift codes for 2019. Golden Key Borderlands 2 Shift codes. If you redeemed your Borderlands 3 SHiFT Code, the Golden Key will be sent to your in-game mailbox. You can open your mail by going into the social menu and then select the envelope tab. From this menu, you can collect your Golden Keys or other rewards that you have received.

Activating a code

If you are new to Shift Codes, read this section to learn where and how to enter the codes. If you already know it, ignore this topic.

Start the game, go to Extras, then Shift Codes. Re-issue recovery key generated not enscrowed. There, you need to register a Shift account, or if you already have one, log into it. There, you will have a space to enter a 25 character code that stands from numbers and letters. You just need to highlight the code in the guide, hold CTRL and press C (copy to clipboard), then go to your game, click in the zone where you need to input the commands and use CTRL+V combination to paste your code. Press OK, and then you will have your gift activated.

If you get a message, that you can’t input the code, or that it’s invalid, check how you highlighted it. Make sure not to highlight the space in front of, and after the code.

Golden Key Codes

This is a more confusing part. There are tons of codes. There are ones that give you 1,3,5,10,20 or 25 keys. I’m not sure which code works or not, most of the 1 key codes are expired, some others too, but most of the 5 keys are working for sure. Just start copying the codes in, and find out. (Most of the codes rewards 5 keys.)

Other Stuff

There are some codes that give you the B&B class mods, one of these codes also include a golden key too. These give one mod for every class, and same level of the character you first load after redeeming the codes. All of them are confirmed to be working, expiration not expected.

Head Codes

These commands will unlock you heads for your characters, you can equip them in a Quick Change Machine, there is one in the Sanctuary.

I only know 6 codes, but all of them should work. Every code here unlocks a head for the 6 characters (one for each). You need the “Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep’s” DLC I think, because the skins looks similar to that DLC’s theme. The Krieg and the Gaige skins only work if you have those DLC’s too.

What are Golden Keys?

Golden keys are used to unlock the golden chest located in sanctuary. They can be used to get purple and e-tech rarity items. You can get them by inputting a shift code (which are located on the twitter here https://twitter.com/dgShiftCodes). You can input shift codes by going to the main menu, then into extras.

Why should I use Golden Keys?

Golden keys can be very useful if you need better gear at a lower level. If you already have good gear then selling the items from the chest is a good way to get money if needed. Since the golden chest can only spawn purple and e-tech gear it is a very good way to farm for e-tech launchers when first entering UVHM.

When should I use Golden Keys?

Golden keys have been very overrated by gearbox. They have been put out as something extremely valuable and should be saved for end game, but in reality that isnt true. The best time to use golden keys are whenever you want, but I’ve found using them in the beginning of UVHM makes it way easier.

What are Shift Codes?

Shift Codes are used to collect Golden Keys which unlock a chest on Sanctuary that will reward you will loot! They are distributed sometimes at random by following Gearbox and the Borderlands social channels, or they can be distributed during various events. You need a Shift Account to use the keys, so be sure to sign up for one.

How-to Get Golden Keys

Golden Keys can be obtained via Shift Codes. These Golden Keys can be used within the game to open up a chest that will give you random rewards. These rewards are usually a few weapons of different types that are at your current level. You can also get armor and grenade mods as well. Golden Keys are redeemable at Sanctuary 3, which is your main hub in Borderlands 3.

Collecting Golden Keys/Rewards

Once you get into the game, you might be wondering how-to obtain the keys. Well, go into a game, open up the game menu, and press Social. You should see an envelope icon at the top, press that to go to the Mail menu. From here, you should be able to collect any Golden Keys you've obtained!
